Documentary Films: Environmental Justice

There has never been a more crucial time for us to participate in the environmental movement. From the impact of the U.S. military on the climate to the threat to marginalized communities, which often bear a greater share of negative environmental impacts.  These films and audience discussion will not only serve as a rallying call, putting a human face on the struggles for environmental justice, but will also provide information on how to fight for environmental justice locally.

Pasadena-based freelance journalist James Farr is the host of “The Conversation.Live,” a hyperlocal online show he created in September 2017. 

 Sim Bilal is a seasoned organizer and activist from South Central LA. He was raised by a single mom and is Korean, Black, and Chickasaw. Sim roots his work through his identity, as an anchor and guide for systematic change. His primary focus has been organizing on the intersection of climate, housing & the environment through a justice lens.
